Doll Of The Month – April 2018

Dolls of the month for April are those little forest-spirits and they will be a part of a bigger project, so they will not be for sale yet. When I started on this project it was because I wanted to work with raw fleece again as I have done many times before.

Doll Of The Month – February 2018

This month I wanted to make a winter-grandmother, sitting with a winter apple in her hand. She has this winter-green dress on and long woolen stockings. Her hair is dyed Norwegian wild sheep wool.

Doll Of The Month – November 2017

This month my inspiration for doll of the month came from all the apples I have around me. My latest exhibition, that I have together with my watercolor group, has apples as theme, and for that exhibition I started to needle little apple-heads as sculptures.

Doll Of The Month – August 2017

Doll of the month is back here in August after a little pause and that is why I now have made two cats that are meant as a pair playing together with a little mouse.

Doll Of The Month – April 2017

Doll of the month for April is this little Peter Pan. I have taken him to my friend Guris wonderful wild garden that is so full of fairytales with big trees and tree-trunks and right now the spring plants explode up from the ground there. Anywhere we placed Peter Pan he looked like he had always lived in this garden.

Doll Of The Month – March 2017

Last spring I made my very first felted little sprouts and now, when I see how little green sprouts start to grow up all over, I just had to make this little new sprout to celebrate the spring. So doll of the month this March is this little sprout

Doll Of The Month – February 2017

Doll of the month for February is this little grandmother that has been forced to come out in the cold but wonderful sunny weather. She is wearing this woollen dress that cowers the whole body and then she has her white silk panties on.

Doll Of The Month – January 2017

Doll Of The Month – December 2016

Doll of the month this December is this little pixie, that is a typical Scandinavian thing. We call him “nisse”. He can be both very kind and helpful, but he can also be one, who is teasing you if you don’t treat him well. The way you see him here – with his finger at his mouth – shows that he is thinking on how he can tease you this time.

Doll Of The Month – August 2016

Doll of the month in August is this old fat witch with her long thin legs. The inspiration for her came from the old Danish tradition called Sct Hans, where we late June build a big fire and gather around it, singing our special Sct Hans song and from ancient time the witch was burned on this fire.
