This winter has really given me challenges

This winter has really given many different challenges. At my studio I have had several private courses and it is a very exiting way to teach. The human face, needled with aquarelle technique, has been the most popular theme at these courses. But my latest student, Irmgard came travelling from Switzerland to learn how to make an animal mask that she could wear herself. I worked with a suggestion for her on how such a mask could be made and during 3 exiting and funny days, we managed to make a very impressing lion-mask that you can see under this text.

The day after Irmgard left, Pippa from Ireland phoned and wanted a 4 days private course, where she could learn how to make the human figure. – It is so nice with so many different students and also coming from different countries

At my courses with groups, the little singing birds is still a popular theme.-and as a new theme at my latest course in Copenhagen we made sitting dogs with stables of raw wool needled on. I had washed a lot of different kinds of sheep wool –even though I hate to wash the wool!!!- but the reward was, that it was so fantastic to see how the students managed to make very fine and funny “dog breeds”, and there was really many funny situations during the process. See photos from the course under this text.
