Doll Of The Month – September 2012

I am often contacted by visitors who would like to buy dolls they have seen in the picture galleries. But all of these dolls have been made as part of projects or have been pre-ordered a long time before they were made. Due to lack of time I only make a very limited number of dolls each year, but I have decided to make some of these dolls available on Feltmaking.com as “Doll of the month”.

This dog that is doll of the month in September is needled basically on a cylindered shape with a head needled onto it. The cylinder is chosen because I wanted to show how the staples of wool can be used one by one and how clear you can see the staples the way they are needled on from bottom to top.

Something special is that the staples on the body shape are from a spelsau lamb and they are so beautifull shiny like silk and the ears are from a grown up sheep and so much longer and more course so you can see the difference.

The kind of dog that has inspired me is a greyhound with its skinny thin body and its long nose. The dog is 27 cm high

The price is $ 180 (USD) and this includes shipping. Only the one dolls is available so if you click on the “Buy Now”-link and the dolls has already been sold you will get an error message.

Click below if you would like to buy the doll. You will be taken to the website of PayPal where you can pay by credit card (you don’t need a PayPal-account).
