Doll Of The Month – October 2012

I am often contacted by visitors who would like to buy dolls they have seen in the picture galleries. But all of these dolls have been made as part of projects or have been pre-ordered a long time before they were made. Due to lack of time I only make a very limited number of dolls each year, but I have decided to make some of these dolls available on Feltmaking.com as “Doll of the month”.

This month I have selected one of my lamps as doll of the month. I have made the lamp with my friend Guri Petersen who has made three sides of the lamp which are made of skin from reindeer. The skin is dyed in henna and roibush and has a wonderful warm golden brown color when the lamp is turned on.

Then I have made the fourth side. First I made the background out of a piece of machine needled felt that is covered with a thin layer of raw fleece and then wet-felted. On this dried background I now needle felted a relief of a dogs head with ears of chosen long beautiful raw fleece stables. The lamp is 25 cm high.

The price is $ 370 (USD) and this includes shipping. Only the one dolls is available so if you click on the “Buy Now”-link and the dolls has already been sold you will get an error message.

Click below if you would like to buy the doll. You will be taken to the website of PayPal where you can pay by credit card (you don’t need a PayPal-account).
