I am often contacted by visitors who would like to buy dolls they have seen in the picture galleries. But all of these dolls have been made as part of projects or have been pre-ordered a long time before they were made. Due to lack of time I only make a very limited number of dolls each year, but I have decided to make some of these dolls available on Feltmaking.com as "Doll of the month".

Here she is – doll of the month - a little delayed but at last she got her clothes on. First the stockings, then the underpants and at last the red dress and the long sleeved blouse.

Doll of the month is a real Scandinavian Pixie as we see them all over this time of the year. My studio is starting to get filled up with them in the show window, on the shelfs and hanging from the ceiling.

Doll of the month is one of my favorite techniques when I want to make a pixie for Christmas. He is like a jumping jack and he is both flat but also three dimensional, when you look at his legs, and that gives him the ability to both stand and hang as well. His hands are loose from the body so you can make him move and that gives him a very alive look.

I make his legs first and then I add the shape of the body and head and dress him and then I give him his face and at last the beard needling the stables of wool one by one on him. He is 30 cm high
