The doll has been sold
I am often contacted by visitors who would like to buy dolls they have seen in the picture galleries. But all of these dolls have been made as part of projects or have been pre-ordered a long time before they were made. Due to lack of time I only make a very limited number of dolls each year, but I have decided to make some of these dolls available on Feltmaking.com as "Doll of the month".
This month I have chosen to let this golden eagle be the "doll” of the month. I have become very fascinated with this proud bird, while I have worked with it for my new book and the fascination continued when I started to work on my next exhibition where I have made a big wall-hanging with two golden eagles as the main subject. I have imagined this head could hang on the wall liked a stuffed trophy. It is 20 cm high. Again it was the wool that gave the first inspiration. This wool is from a spelsau lamb and it has the most wonderful red brown colour. It is fine fibered and it is shining like silk. Another thing is that the staples of wool stay together in broad pieces so they are easy to work with.
The price is $ 145 (USD) and this includes shipping. Only the one dolls is available so if you click on the order-link and the dolls has already been sold you will get an error message.
Click here if you would like to buy the doll. You will be taken to the website of CCNow where you can enter your order details. Your credit card will not be charged untill the doll has been sent.
