When I get such an order I start to study the animal very carefully.
I have during the years gathered a big library of animal books and after studying them, I specially worked from two wonderfull books with drawings and photos that I bought in USA on my last tour there.
I started to sort the wool out in dark and light colors for the sides and for the back of the animal and I was lucky that there were fine pieces that were already felted on the animal, so I could needle them on the body directly. The technique that I have developed to build an animal proved to be very good here and it was so nice to see how the animal slowly grew to look like a musk-oxen.

The second musk-oxen is looking a little aside, so when the two stand aside, it looks like a little group that is real.

It was really wonderfull to see how glad the family were, when they saw the two musk-oxens. They said that it was exacly like seeing the animals in the nature, and they could never have had a better souvenir.
