I am often contacted by visitors who would like to buy dolls they have seen in the picture galleries. But all of these dolls have been made as part of projects or have been pre-ordered a long time before they were made. Due to lack of time I only make a very limited number of dolls each year, but I have decided to make some of these dolls available on Feltmaking.com as "Doll of the month".

The dolls has been sold

The doll of the month for November is Father Christmas. He is already busy here in Denmark because people start to decorate with Christmas figures very early and Danish people are very fond of these figures. This particular Father Christmas is my first Christmas figure this year and because of that he will always be something special. I always look forward to this season and I never start before middle of October, then I don't get tired of these figures.

He is made with the technique where I first make a cylinder for the body and then shape this and give it a head with a very detailed face. He has got a lot of wrinkles that makes him look really kind and nice. He has hands that are made with thin wire in them so he will be able to hold something and his coat and hat is made with carded wool that is a mix of different red colors and that gives an impression of old fashioned cloth. He is 28 cm high.
