I am often contacted by visitors who would like to buy dolls they have seen in the picture galleries. But all of these dolls have been made as part of projects or have been pre-ordered a long time before they were made. Due to lack of time I only make a very limited number of dolls each year, but I have decided to make some of these dolls available on Feltmaking.com as "Doll of the month".

The doll has been sold

This nice old grandmother is doll of the month for July. She is a type that you would find in the garden with her flowers, in the vegetable garden or in the forest - and that was where I brought her to make these photos.

As you can see on some of the pictures she has also got a black cat that is always somewhere near her. She is made with the technique that makes her very movable. I first needle all the parts of the body and then needle them together in all the joints and in the position I want her to sit. Then I provide her with the shapes that make her body personal. Then I decide which dress she is going to wear and I make it with the technique that makes it look like you can take it off. I need to make the clothes very, very thin or I will hide the shape of the body. When you lift the skirt of her dress you will see that she wears old-fashioned long pants. She is 20 cm high
