I am often contacted by visitors who would like to buy dolls they have seen in the picture galleries. But all of these dolls have been made as part of projects or have been pre-ordered a long time before they were made. Due to lack of time I only make a very limited number of dolls each year, but I have decided to make some of these dolls available on Feltmaking.com as "Doll of the month".

The doll has been sold

The doll of the month for October is this happy troll. It has taken a long time for him to decide to leave his home, but now it is time. He was “born” right after I finished my second book and he has been one of my faithful followers.

The inspiration to make him is from the Norwegian trolls because they have long noses while the Danish trolls have more short and broad noses.

His colours are made with the inspiration from the wonderful yellow and green colours that we have in the autumn and he is made with the soft sculptural technique. That means that his body is build up from special shapes that are needled on a skeleton of long soft pipe cleaners. Then he is wet felted with concentrated soap water only on the surface, so he has got a good skin layer. This technique has made him very, very movable and alive looking when you start to touch him. His eyes are embroidered and I have dyed the wool for his hair and his skin myself.

He is 32 cm high.

The price is $ 210 (USD) and this includes shipping. Only the one dolls is available so if you click on the order-link and the dolls has already been sold you will get an error message.

Click here if you would like to buy the doll. You will be taken to the website of CCNow where you can enter your order details. Your credit card will not be charged untill the doll has been sent.
