The international felt symposium" Felt in Focus" is now finished, and it was really a great succes, thanks to the organizers. We had a wonderfull week where the participants joined two different courses during the week and on Wednesday we went on a bustour to the Mayors House in Odense where all us teachers from the felt courses had an exhibition showing our work. From there we went on toTtrapholt Museum and Koldinghus Museum, where we saw exhibitions that fittet perfect in the interess of the participants. Wednesday evening there was a market, where the participants could sell their things and have the opportunity to talk to each other. Friday there was a big fashion show.
It is fantstic that there is still feltmakers that in their spare time use all their energy and creativity to arrange symposiums like this. I know what a big, big work it is.

Again this month it is the wool that gave me the inspiration for the doll of the month. When I was looking for some wool for the big eagle project, that I am working on right now, then I found some wool that made me think of the mane of a lion. I had made one before, for my book “Animal Felt” and I wanted to try to make it a little different.

I am back from a wonderfull teaching tour to Norway. It was a wool-seminar by Tone Tveit who has the firm "Ullform".
Charlotte Buch from Denmark and Dagmar Binder from Germany were teaching there too and we were at a wonderfull place in an old spinning mill that was wonderfully restored.
More about that later.
You will now again be able to order books and sign for online classes. |
