The doll of the month is this crazy pink bird that was a lot of fun to make. Again it was the wool that was the inspiration. Some time ago one of my students sent me this pink wool and I knew that I wanted to make a crazy bird from that. She had bought the wool from a Danish designer who is famous for his rocking lambs (horses) and for many years he has made these with white or brown lambīs skin, but then lately he started to make them with pink and neon green wool too and the wool I used for the bird is waste from the rocking lamb.

I am back again from a combined teaching and holiday tour to Finland.
It was fantastic to teach by Elina Saari in Orimattala. The teaching place was in the forest with a view out on a lake and of course there was sauna at the lake too. During the whole course there was a professinel photographer that took photos so there will be wonderfull possibility to make a new galleri from Finland here on my website.

This doll of the month is now again an animal - but suddenly there was two :-) I have for a long time wanted to make a meerkat and I have found a lot of photos as I use to do when I want to make an animal so I can learn how this animal looks in many positions and how it acts.

On Sunday August 2. I am leaving for a teaching tour to Elina Saari in Finland and I will be home again August 20. You can order books in that period, but I will not be able to send them to you untill I return from Finland. |
