Last month the Danish TV made a programme about me in my studio because my new book "Animal Felt" has been published. It was a nice day, where I had the opportunity to tell about my felting work and show examples of my things.It was nice to see how the journalist Mads Gudiksen worked and as a part of the program we visited the ceramic artist Karen Trier. She and I are planning to make an "unusual" exhibition together.

The new season has started and I have had my first two courses after I returned from Alaska. The first one was at "Kartehuset" (a firm that sells all kind of things for feltmaking) and the second was at the art and craft Union in Copenhagen.

FIRST COURSE
The title of the first course was " SWEET OLD MEN AND UGLY WITCHES" and it is very funny and entertaining to work with that theme because you see the most wonderfull persons emerge from the wool as you can see on the photos below from the course.

The doll of the month for October is this happy troll. It has taken a long time for him to decide to leave his home, but now it is time. He was “born” right after I finished my second book and he has been one of my faithful followers.

The inspiration to make him is from the Norwegian trolls because they have long noses while the Danish trolls have more short and broad noses.

I am back from a fantastic teaching tour to Alaska. Penny Wakefield, who arranged the tour made it possible for me to see so much of Alaska. We were driving more than 1000 miles during those 14 days and I met so many nice people.
I took a lot of photos and I am working on a photo gallery from the tour.
