The doll of the month for May is this noble old man. When I worked with the doll for last month I wanted to go on with this special form of the human being because there are so many possibilities in this long slim body. It is in a way a simple form but this simplicity gives a distinguished character to the doll.

My publisher has now found a translator for my new book and he has been quick with the translation so I am proofreading the book right now. I look forward to tell you that the book is printed and ready for sale.

My new book NEM FILT (Easy Felt) was published in Danish November 2008 and was ment to be published in English this spring, but because of problems finding a professionel translator it has been delayed.
Now the publisher has found a translator and the book is about being translated.
Here in Denmark it has got very good rewievs. It is beeing used in schools and in after school centers and familys find it good to sit together and work with it. To my surprise I also see my students using it and working very creative with the ideas in it. |

The doll of the month for April is inspired of the very early spring here in Denmark with the naked tree trunks in sharp light we have right now. The trunks have the most fantastic colors and the shapes of them are so sculptural and make me think of simplified bodies where faces of old men and women placed on the trunks make the whole wood look alive. Again - when I have made photos for doll of the month it is something special to take the doll out in the nature, because it feels like it belongs there.
