The doll of the month this December is a “Snow Pixie” that can be used for Christmas but also the whole winter through. The basic body shape is a cone that is needled with Gotland wool that I have prepared myself right from the sheep.
The Gotland wool can have many different grey colours but I have chosen this special wool because it is so bright and shiny and that gave the inspiration to this Snow Man.

Last month the Danish TV made a programme about me in my studio because my new book "Animal Felt" has been published. It was a nice day, where I had the opportunity to tell about my felting work and show examples of my things.It was nice to see how the journalist Mads Gudiksen worked and as a part of the program we visited the ceramic artist Karen Trier. She and I are planning to make an "unusual" exhibition together.

The doll of the month in November is a little Scandinavian pixie. Our tradition in Sweden, Norway and Denmark is that out on the farms lives this little pixie with his red cap and his very simple clothes. Usually you don´t see him or you might see a glimse of something red or a shadow of something moving.
He can be a very helpful little guy if you treat him well by placing food for him and give him things, but he can also be very bad and make all kind of accidents happen at the farm if the people don´t treat him well. He is always very old.

The new season has started |

The new season has started and I have had my first two courses after I returned from Alaska. The first one was at "Kartehuset" (a firm that sells all kind of things for feltmaking) and the second was at the art and craft Union in Copenhagen.
FIRST COURSE
The title of the first course was " SWEET OLD MEN AND UGLY WITCHES" and it is very funny and entertaining to work with that theme because you see the most wonderfull persons emerge from the wool as you can see on the photos below from the course.
